Easter Conference 2018 - 9 messages with David Vallance and Craig Munro

EASTER CONF 2018 – Craig Munro preaches on the need for unity among God’s people, from Psalm 132 and 133. “Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity”. In a world divided in so many different ways, unity among the Lord’s own is pleasant, precious, peaceable and profitable. This is Craig’s final message in his 3-part conference exercise on faith, hope and love (Message preached Apr 2nd 2018)

EASTER CONF 2018 – David Vallance sets out a robust defence of the concept that there is a definite prescribed pattern for the local assembly in the New Testament. He contrasts what is sometimes called the “regulatory principle” with the “normative principle”. While some would propose that “whatever is not prohibited is allowed”, David explains that in actual fact “what Scripture does not mention is prohibited”. He then explains what this means in practice and discusses the ramifications of the principle. A vital thought-provoking message (Message preached Apr 2nd 2018)

EASTER CONF 2018 – David Vallance speaks on the function of gift in the local assembly which is empowered by grace and designed to exalt Christ. At the beginning of his message he divides the 20 New Testament gifts into 4 sets of 5 and then spends the rest of his time discussing the gifts of serving, exhorting, helping, giving and showing mercy (Message preached Apr 2nd 2018)

EASTER CONF 2018 – Craig Munro preaches on the Chrtistian as a sower “sowing the seed” from Ecclesiastes Ch 11. He urges his audience to have a fresh vision for gospel endeavour – sow in hope, sow generously, sow in faith, sow in time and sow in joy. The from Ch 12 he speaks of the Christian as a student. Only as we study Christ can we sow His word (Message preached Apr 2nd 2018)

EASTER CONF 2018 – David Vallance, speaking from Jude v20-23, sets out the Bible’s plan for the believer’s life. He challenges his audience to take responsibility for their Christian life and not treat it like a hobby. His punch line? When it comes to Bible reading, prayer, evangelism, holiness and care for others “Don’t be normal…don’t be mediocre”. A challenging message (Message preached April 1st 2018)

EASTER CONF 2018 – GOSPEL – David Vallance preaches from the famous text, John 3:16, and Craig Munro follows with a look at Thomas’s words about the resurrected Christ – “Unless I see…I will not believe” (Messages preached 1st Apr 2018)

EASTER CONF 2018 – Mark Sweetnam opens up 1 Thess 4:13-5:11 and expounds the truth of the pre-tribulation rapture of the church. A discussion of the whole passage follows, verse by verse, with help from David Vallance, Craig Munro, and others (Bible Reading from Apr 1st 2018)

EASTER CONF 2018 – Craig Munro preaches on how to make spiritual progress in the midst of loss and disappointment (from Job 36:24-37:24). We need to remember that though God is beyond comprehension, He’s always great; though He is beyond prediction, He always has a purpose; and though He is beyond explanation, He is always just. In his 3 conferences messages, Craig spoke on faith (here), then hope and finally love (Message preached 31st Mar 2018)

EASTER CONF 2018 – David Vallance opens the 2018 Easter Conference with a look at Paul’s challenge in Romans 12 to “present your bodies a living sacrifice”. His challenge? Don’t be conformed to a world that says the material is more important than the spiritual; that the present is more important than the future, and that emotion is more important than truth (Message preached 31st Mar 2018)
