Names and Titles of Deity by various speakers - 12 messages (2017)

PART 2 – Mervyn Hall preaches on three Divine titles: “the God of Peace” (Rom 16:20), “the God of hope” (Rom 15:13) and “the God of patience” (Rom 15:5). He spends some time introducing the differences between a name (designed to convey essence and nature) and a title (designed to convey what someone does, in terms of work or office) before working through the three titles and explaining their significance (Message preached 15th Jan 2017)

PART 1 – Michael Penfold introduces a series of messages on the names and titles of Deity. Explaining the power, preciousness, prodigiousness and profundity of the topic, he contends that it is also eminently practical – that there is nothing more helpful and useful in the daily life of the Christian than to contemplate and meditate on the nature and operations of Deity. In the words of Spurgeon, “There is something exceedingly improving to the mind in a contemplation of the Divinity” (Message preached 8th Jan 2017)
